Innovative shredders from Bosch Lawn and Garden come out on top in Which? Gardening challenge. When Which? Gardening magazine put domestic garden shredders to the test, Bosch Lawn and Garden’s options not only took first, second and third place, but also received Which? ‘Best Buy’ status along the way. The Which? name is highly regarded as being the leading authority on consumer product testing, making this accolade even more auspicious for the Bosch brand.

Testing covered the shredders’ ability to dispose of easy materials defined as fresh branches up to 2 cm in diameter and more difficult types of material including spiny branches, overgrown hedge prunings and thicker, dead branches. The testing team were checking for the shredding quality, issues with blocking and stalling, noise vibration levels, and all round ease-of-use and manoeuvrability.

Coming out on top with a score of 74% was the new Bosch AXT 25 TC. This innovative model boasts a turbine cutter in place of a standard roller design to help draw in spiny and awkward branches and dispose of them efficiently and quietly. The Bosch AXT 25 D took second place with a score of 70%. Picked out for its ‘cut and crush’ drum cutting system, which provides powerful shredding of difficult materials, this shredder is fast, producing fine shreddings. Bosch’s AXT 2200 Rapid retained its Which? ‘Best Buy’ award.
