Does it have a guarantee?
Yes. Two full years from date of purchase. One year for battery.

How on earth does it know where to go?
Its onboard software is programmed to recognise the special wire running invisibly round the lawn edge. It can work out the shape and size of the lawn and ensure every inch is cut. Unlike other robotic lawnmowers which operate randomly, Robomow utilises compass technology to allow effective navigation of the lawn.

How much does it cut?
The RM200 will cut 200 sq meters; the RM400 will cut 400 sq metres on a single charge. The RL550 will cut around 600sq meters and the RL1000 c/w dock with happily maintain an area of 2000 sq metres.  All these figures are conservative.

How long does it take to charge?
All machines require a 24 hour charge before operating again, however, an external battery charger is currently available at extra cost, which charges the battery within 12 hours. Also there is a docking station is available for the RL1000, so it can automatically charge itself.

What about flower beds and ponds?
The Robomow stays within the wire round the edge of the lawn. It cannot cross over and stray into other areas.

I have more than one lawn - can I install a Robomow?
Yes - the RM400 and RL1000 models can maintain up to 4 lawns completely automatically.  Robomow can be installed to travel from lawn to lawn, across pathways, over driveways etc automatically without any intervention required by you. This gives you 100% automation.

What happens to the wire after I install it? Can you see it? Will I trip over it?
The plastic coated wire is hammered flush with the lawn and simply disappears within a couple of weeks as the grass grows over it. Your Robomow is the only one who can tell it is there.

How do I get it to cut the lawn edge?
Just press the GO button on the Robomower and it will make a special circuit round the wire, trimming to the very edge.When it is finished, it will automatically start mowing the rest of your lawn.

But it won't cut right over the border edge, will it?
YES! Robomow WILL cut right over the lawn edge.  Robomow has offset blades that turn outside of the wheelbase, this means that it can cut right over the edge. No other robotic lawnmower can do this.

The ourdoor charging station versions (RM400 and RL1000) are not enclosed - are they suitable for use in the U.K?
Yes - everything is fully waterproof.  Both the Robot and charging station are fully weatherproof and an onboard rain sensor can determine grass and weather conditions, and adjust its program accordingly.  The contacts for the charging station are made fron surgical grade stainless steel and will not corrode.

Is it safe?
Yes. It has multiple safety sensors and automatic cut out protection. The Robomow range has been subjected to rigorous independent safety testing and is fully CE compliant.

But what about children and pets?
The Robomow is child and pet friendly - Safety Features include lift sensor that will stop the blades in less than 1 second (this is the fastest of any robotic mower on the market). Robomow identifies flower beds, trees, rocks and other lawn obstacles using its specialist onboard navigation sensors.

Does it work on slopes?
Yes. We usually say if your old mower can do it, and you can easily walk up the slope without using your hands, Robomow can do it.

What about noise?
These machines are very quiet when working. So much so that they can be used at night without upsetting the neighbours.

What about the environment?
The Robomow is environmentally friendly ("green") - it uses no petrol or oil and has no smoke emissions.

Will I be able to give up my old mower?
