The Autospade - digging without the back strain This is an easy to use tool which helps remove the strain of bending. The Backsaver Auto-spade will enable you to dig your garden with less effort. We are all used to normal digging, it's hard work! You have to bend down to pick up the soil to turn it over. The beauty of the Auto-spade is you dig from a standing position: there is no need to bend to lift and turn the soil. Pull back on the handle and a large spring at the base of the shaft acts to throw the soil forward.

The stainless steel blade has the benefit of not clogging in wet or heavy conditions. An interchangeable fork blade is also available in carbon steel. The blades are easily interchangeable.
