The Scheppach BMS196-88 Scythe Mower is purpose-built for maintaining rough grass, orchards, paddocks, meadows and natural gardens where standard Lawnmowers are less effective. Its powerful petrol engine, extra-wide cutting width and self-propelled drive make it ideal for efficiently maintaining larger outdoor areas of up to 3,000m².
Powered by a dependable 196cc 4-stroke petrol engine producing 5.7hp (4.2kW), the BMS196-88 delivers consistent cutting performance across demanding terrain. The generous 88cm cutting width significantly reduces mowing time, while the forward drive speed of 2.52km/h allows comfortable, controlled progress with minimal effort.
The BMS196-88 features an efficient 18-blade cutting system designed to tackle long grass and overgrown vegetation. Three handlebar height positions provide a comfortable working position for different users, while the pull-start engine offers dependable starting for regular outdoor maintenance.
Combining powerful performance with excellent manoeuvrability and robust construction, the BMS196-88 is an ideal choice for maintaining larger, uneven grassed areas. Its wide cutting deck, self-propelled drive and rugged design make it a practical solution for demanding mowing applications.
